Join the Ceremony of Releasing Painted Terrapin to Habitat

Well, after a long time i did not posted any story to this blog, because of busy on the field, so i will share my short story, again. As you know that personally i am working on wildlife conservation, particularly turtles, terrapins and tortoises. About two weeks ago we held a ceremony, with local people and leaders, to released hatchlings of Painted Terrapin, critically endangered species, into habitat.

In that time, we released twenty hatchlings. Before released, the hatchlings had been raised about six months. So, they are big enough to survive in the wild and avoid natural predation from crocs and another threats. In normal situation, may be, the food chain is not a matter. But, in critical condition, we must avoid the hatchlings to be eaten. So, they will reach the maturity and reproduction.

If you are interested to the ceremony, please you can read it at our foundation website, just clik this link or if you want to read in Bahasa, please read at a online media that published our story here.
